How to filter locations

You can filter the locations of the farm in the following ways:

– enter a text in the search box above the locations
this will search as you type for this string in the title, ID and URL of a location

– Select a location scope: If you select a scope, e.g. Farm or Web Application, only locations with that scope will be shown in the result window

– Select a location by clicking on it. In the menu below, click on the filter. This will show this location and all its children in the location list (e.g. the selected site collection and all webs of this site collection.

– Select a feature definition (left window) and in the menu of feature definitions below select the filter with arrow to the right: This will filter all locations in the right location window, where the selected feature definition is activated.

How to filter feature definitions

You can filter your feature definitions in the following ways:

– enter a text in the search box above the feature definitions
this will search as you type for this string in the title, name and ID of a feature definition

– Select a feature definition scope: If you select a scope, e.g. Farm or Web Application, only feature definitions with that scope will be shown in the result window

– Select a feature definition by clicking on it. In the menu below, click on the filter. This will show all feature definitions with this ID (e.g. in case same definition with different compatibility version or multiple sandboxed solutions are installed)

– Select a location (right window) and in the menu of locations below select the filter with arrow to the left: This will filter from all activated features in this location all feature definitions on the left window.
